About KiHS

Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS) is a program offering a rich variety of ministry inspected courses high school courses, which allows students to remain in their home community and work towards their highschool diploma. Beside the regular courses requested by the Ontario government, KiHS also has culture, language, and land-based education. Our staff is well equipped and are excited about helping students in the Communities we are partnered with.
 
 

KiHS Partners

Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS) has strong bonds with many Education Authorities in partner communities to better serve the students who stay in their communities. We have cultivated and will keep creating (remove bonds) strong relationships with the education authorities. KiHS is proud of having close relationships with each community.
 
 

Classrooms

Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS) has many dedicated administrative staff and teachers. Each Community classroom has 1 (in some cases 2) teachers who work closely with students. It is one of our successful ways to achieve education goals. KiHS also has administrative staff who travel to Communities including culture/language and land-based educators and wellness workers.Each classroom has unique characteristics, but all classrooms are fun and energetic.

Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS) is so proud of their students;their succession is our goal and our pleasure. KiHS has thousands of success stories. We, as KiHS staff, believe that it is very important to encourage individual success even if it seems small. We cannot tell you all of our stories, however, we can show you some on this website.
 
 

School Events

Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS) has many events for students and teachers both in the Community and in Urban Centers. These events are exciting and memorable moments that will continue to be provided for our precious students. Events include traditional activities (beading, snaring, snowshoeing, sewing, drum-making, etc.), land-based trips (partridge hunting, canoe trips, trapping, fishing), and larger trips such as the Science Fair in Thunder Bay and the annual Indspire Conference. These events are well organized for education purposes with an emphasis on culture, Land and language. Our events are unique and very special, providing fun for our students, Community members, and staff alike.
 
 

Careers

Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS) strives to showecase and provide many career paths to students. For this purpose, KiHS has administrative staffs including a graduation coach, guidance teacher, and classroom mentors. Ask us and we will help you find your career path. We will provide as many options as possible.
